About the Role

In this role, you will implement individualized care plans aimed at improving motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities to enhance children's functional abilities across various settings. Your energy and dedication will help children overcome challenges related to executive function, developmental delays, or injuries, fostering independence and confidence from early childhood through adolescence. Duties
Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and self-care techniques.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, and educators to coordinate holistic care.
Provide therapy sessions in various settings including outpatient clinics and schools.
Report patient progress to the supervising therapist.
Manage case documentation meticulously, maintaining accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Experience
Proven experience working with children in pediatric occupational therapy roles within outpatient clinics, schools, or early intervention programs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in pediatric occupational therapy roles within outpatient clinics, schools, or early intervention.

  • Current state licensure.

  • Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs and implementing therapy strategies for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other disabilities.

  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and how they relate to pediatric patient care.

  • Skilled in developing care plans tailored to individual needs while considering family dynamics and environmental factors.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
